Wildfires Still Burning Uncontained In North Carolina

The battle against three wildfires continued on Tuesday in North Carolina as the two largest of the three continued to burn completely uncontained. The blazes have consumed at least 7.5 square miles. The fires are being fueled by high winds, low humidity, dry conditions and downed trees from Hurricane Helene.
