Volunteers Find Rare Asteroids Among Thousands Of Images

Thousands of volunteers combed meticulously through 430,000 images of space looking for a rare celestial phenomenon known as an “active asteroid.” Thanks to the effort, scientists now know of 50 percent more of these rare objects.
