When the Palisades Fire destroyed Megan Weinraub’s neighborhood, she thought she’d lost her 1977 Volkswagen Type 2 Microbus forever. After an AP photographer saw it had remarkably survived the blaze, VW stepped in to restore the vintage vehicle to its former glory.
