In a death-defying stunt, slackliners Ighor Pereira, Mitsu Kawaguchi and Marcio Cardoso balanced more than 650 feet above Rio de Janeiro for four hours to the top of Morro do Catalgo. The journey lasted past sunset, resulting in stunning views for the daredevils to take in.

"It was so unique being up there with the high line atheletes performing their magic," photographer Bruno Graciano told Caters News Agency.

Slacklining is a growing sport, with daredevils taking it further—and to new heights—all the time. This challenging sport of balance and agility is usually done between two trees, not high off the ground. But with risk comes great rewards, as demonstrated by the photos above.
