PHOTOS: The Diverse Landscape of Vietnam

Rehahn, a French photographer who goes just by his first name, has called Vietnam home since 2011. He first set foot in Vietnam in 2007, and then took yearly trips to the country until he settled in Hoi An. Over the years, Rehahn has developed a portfolio of images from Vietnam's most far-flung locations.

The photographer is inspired by the diversity of the country in terms of landscapes and people. "From north to south, we have completely different faces, deserts, rice terraces, beautiful beaches... 56 ethnic groups with different cultures, clothes and languages. Vietnam is an open-air studio, a paradise for photographers," he told weather.com.

Of all the places Rehahn has visited, he says that he likes the north of Vietnam the best, as he is captivated by the traditional dress he has seen there.

"Shooting under the rain or when it's misty is quite hard, but sometimes more interesting," the photographer said. "The Halong Bay is nice with blue skies but also great with the mist. It's impossible to predict. Also, the weather in mountainous areas changes a lot, sometimes there are four seasons in one day."

Rehahn has been taking photos for about ten years. He has traveled to India, Malaysia and Cuba for photography, and now says he would never travel without his camera.

"I always discover new places and Vietnam never fails to amaze me," Rehahn said. "When I feel I've seen all the country, some fans of my fanpage send me a new suggestion, and I say to myself, 'Wow, again something that I didn't know!'"
