Winter Storm Delphi brought a snowy blast to the High Plains and Upper Midwest that led to hundreds of car accidents and killed at least two people.

Schools were canceled Monday and Tuesday across several states as the storm ramped up. Snowfall totals reached one foot in some areas.

Two people have died in separate car accidents on snowy roads in Minnesota, and both crashes were blamed on weather conditions. In Iowa, Nebraska and the Dakotas, officials warned drivers to continue to exercise caution on roadways, as conditions will remain dangerous as long as the snow and ice covers highways and side streets.
