Winter Storm Ursula Hits the Northeast, New England (PHOTOS)

Winter Storm Ursula, the 21st named storm of the 2015-16 season, geared up on Monday to deliver another snowy blast of winter weather in the Northeast and New England.

The storm is expected to dump more than a half-foot of snow in some areas, and officials prepared major thoroughfares for the arrival of heavy snow. In upstate New York, numerous accidents were reported on snowy roads Monday morning as Ursula got rolling.

One of those crashes involved a Trailways bus in the town of Minerva, 75 miles north of Albany, according to the Associated Press. The bus overturned on Route 28N Monday morning, leaving several people injured, the AP also said.

Speed limits along a stretch of the Massachusetts Turnpike were reduced due to the snowfall on Monday, and many districts in the state canceled classes. In the Bronx, inclement weather forced the postponement of the New York Yankees' home opener.
