Licensed trapper Clark Woodsby was not expecting to catch this prehistoric monster in the swamps of Florida.

Woodsby was hired by a landowner in Winter Haven, Florida to take care of the "nuisance." 

The giant alligator was waiting for Woodsby when he arrived. Woodsby shot the alligator in the shoulder with a crossbow and reeled it into his 14 foot boat using a hook and rope.

The alligator weighed in at 719 pounds and was measured at 12 feet and 10 inches.
