The season's fourth named storm took shape when Tropical Depression Four-E developed off of Mexico's Pacific coast on the evening of June 24, 2017. The depression strengthened into Tropical Storm Dora the next morning and then quickly became a hurricane by early June 26, 2017.

Cooler waters and drier air led to a quick demise of Dora and it became a remnant low by the morning of June 28, 2017.

The white line shows the northwest path Dora took parallel to Mexico's Pacific coast.

Dora brought some locally heavy rain and high surf to Mexico's Pacific coast, but the worst of its impacts stayed well offshore.
