The second month of hurricane season brings an uptick in tropical activity, but also sees the first storms developing in the Caribbean. Some years have seen up to 5 named storms and hurricanes while many years haven’t seen any tropical storms. Last year, Hurricane Beryl became the earliest Category 5 on record. One area is favored to see more tropical activity than anywhere else in the basin. Meteorologist Sara Tonks tells us how July typically goes.
