Description: The severe weather threat moves south and east on Monday but doesn't look nearly as intense as Sunday’s threat. Damaging winds will be the main threat, although large hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Multiple rounds of storms could also lead to flash flooding, especially across parts of the Great Lakes and Southeast. The severe threat lessens even more by Tuesday and Wednesday.

Strong to severe thunderstorms will continue to impact parts of the northern tier through late week, producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and an isolated tornado threat.

The second weather system will track into the upper Midwest by Thursday, producing at least some severe weather in that region during the afternoon and evening hours.
A few severe storms might also develop in North Carolina and Virginia.
Wind damage and hail remain the primary threats in all of those areas. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out in the upper Midwest.
The chance of isolated severe storms will shift into the Great Lakes on Friday.
