Severe Storms Target Plains, Midwest Friday

June 21, 2025

The severe weather threat has increased to a level 3 out of 5 along the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest on Friday, putting places like Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks and Duluth most at risk. Clusters of storms will develop Friday evening, continuing into Saturday morning. Wind gusts in excess of 75mph, tornadoes, potentially strong, and large hail will all be a possibility. Locally heavy rain could also lead to flash flooding. Since this is an overnight threat, make sure you have a way to receive warnings if issued.
