Amazing Supercell Caught on Camera (PHOTO)

For the second time in around two weeks, veteran storm chaser and photographer Roger Hill has captured an image of a spectacular supercell thunderstorm. The latest shot above is from near Sanford, Kan. on May 7, 2013. Several severe thunderstorms developed during the afternoon and evening across western Kansas and produced hailstones as large as quarters and golf balls.

In late April, Roger snapped photos of another amazing supercell thunderstorm over western Oklahoma. (See below for the individual photos.)

More severe storms are expected in the Plains through Thursday and our Tornado Hunt team will be on the chase.
