Winter Storm Kassandra spread snow from the Southwest into the Southern Plains, Midwest and Northeast Jan. 23-26, 2023.

T​he storm first brought more than a foot of snow to the higher elevations of northern and central Arizona. Snow was also spotted in the deserts northeast of Phoenix.

I​n the Southern Plains, snow totals ranged from up to 10 inches in the Texas Panhandle to 1 to 3 inches around the Oklahoma City metro area. Lubbock, Texas, picked up 7.2 inches from the storm on Jan. 24.

S​outhern Missouri and northern Arkansas were hit hard by heavy, wet snow that contributed to tree damage and power outages Jan. 24-25. Up to 16 inches of snow fell in the Ozarks of northern Arkansas near Mount Magazine State Park.

T​he storm dusted parts of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan with a few inches of snow Jan. 25. Parts of the Detroit metro pick up over a half foot of snow.

K​assandra closed out its journey across the country by bringing snowfall to portions of the interior Northeast and New England Jan. 25-26.
