Winter Storm Ember delivered more than a foot of snow to parts of the Northeast and New England, which left many digging out or just staying home to avoid the nasty conditions.

Thousands of plows were deployed across the region in an attempt to keep as many roads open as possible, but there were still numerous crashes on roads where the heaviest snow made travel dangerous.
