Whiteouts, Intense Snow Squalls Strike Across Northern Tier

Drivers in multiple northern states faced whiteout conditions as a powerful, gusty system rushed into the Great Lakes ahead of its arrival in the interior Northeast. Gusts topped 40 mph in some places, and snow threatened to re-bury cities that were just hit with feet of snow days ago.
