Heavy Snow, Significant Icing Target South Friday-Sunday

Winter Storm Fern has the potential to bring heavy snow and widespread icing to the Deep South Friday night through Sunday morning. All precipitation types will be possible, as rain will change over to freezing rain, sleet and then eventually snow from north to south. A light glaze of ice will be possible in Houston, Austin and San Antonio with higher ice accumulations more likely in Dallas, Waco, Shreveport, Greenville, Jackson and Tupelo.
