For those hitting the roads and airports for the final day of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, weather conditions will remain unsettled across portions of the Plains and the Mid-South, while most other locations should stay relatively quiet.

Possible travel trouble spots: Rain across much of the South; rain showers into the Mid-Atlantic states. A few snow showers forecast in the Rockies, although a steadier and heavier snow is anticipated across the central High Plains and foothills of the Rockies. Good travel conditions appear likely in New England, Florida and the West Coast.

Major airports possibly impacted:

  • Rain/low clouds – Atlanta, Baltimore/BWI, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Dallas-Fort Worth, Dallas/Love, Houston/Bush Intercontinental, Houston/Hobby, Nashville, St. Louis, San Antonio, Washington/Dulles, Washington/Reagan National
  • Rain or ice – Denver, Omaha

Major highways impacted (partial list):

  • Interstate 20 from Atlanta to Dallas-Fort Worth (rain showers)
  • Interstate 35 in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, northwest Missouri and southern Iowa (icy spots in northern Oklahoma, Kansas, northwest Missouri and southwest Iowa; otherwise rain)
  • Interstate 40 from Oklahoma to North Carolina (rain showers; lingering icy spots west of I-35 in Oklahoma)
  • Interstate 55 from southern Illinois to Mississippi (rain)
  • Interstate 64 from Kentucky to Virginia (spotty rain)
  • Interstate 65 from Kentucky to northern Alabama (rain)
  • Interstate 70 in Kansas (light rain or ice possible); Colorado (snow showers)
  • Interstate 75 from Kentucky to northern Georgia (rain)
  • Interstate 77 from West Virginia to North Carolina (rain)
  • Interstate 80 in Nebraska (snow showers)
  • Interstate 81 from Tennessee to Virginia (rain)
  • Interstate 85 from north Georgia to North Carolina (rain showers)
  • Interstate 95 from Virginia to North Carolina (rain showers)
