It's the age-old question: which state hates your state's drivers the most? And now, finally, we have an answer (you're probably thinking New York, right?).

The good folks over at Insure.com conducted a survey of 2,000 drivers from across the country all in the name of learning more about rudenss on the road. In addition to discovering which state has the rudest drivers, they went one step further and found out exactly which state hates your state's drivers the most.

Unlike other studies, there are no winners here. For instance, California (which harbors the most hate, according to this survey) hates New York, Vermont, Nevada, Utah, Arkansas, Colorado, Arizona and Oregon more than any of the other states in the union. Because of the way the study was set up, it is possible that your state may not hate another state the most, but on the other hand, like California, your state could also hate multiple states more than other states.

So what determines hate? The survey found that 47 percent of drivers get mad when drivers talk on a cellphone while on the road, 37 percent get incensed by tailgaters, 35 percent can't stand people who fail to signal their turns, 28 percent really hate it when people weave in and out of lanes and 28 percent get riled up with people drive too fast "like every road is a highway."
