He recently visited New York City with the goal to display the relationship between people and nature. There are two public works “Fossil” and “Inner Strength” are on display in Bushwick and Chinatown.

“Fossil” proposes a hypothetical fatal future—a fossilized tree embedded on a brick wall. It highlights how a once lush, green living tree has been minimized to sterile squares of a new environment.

“Inner Strength” has an opposite message from “Fossil.” A cherry blossom tree and a flock of birds are painted onto a gray shutter door. The floral delicacy is a stark contrast to the urban scape of Chinatown. The entire work portrays another future, one where nature overcomes man’s barriers.

If you’re in New York City, you can stop by both of these locations. “Fossil” is on 27 Scott Ave. in Brooklyn and “Inner Strength” is on 2 Henry St.
