Awesome April Events: The Biggest Festivals In The US

These are the events that'll have our attention during the springtime month of April.

Barring severe weather, April should be a beautiful month to enjoy some outdoor events. While every state will have its own favorites, these are the biggest events happening around the country.

The Masters, the first of the four major golf championships, is a massive event in Augusta every year. While an invitational event, you don’t need one to visit Augusta and enjoy numerous other events, the possibility of schmoozing with professionals and celebrities, as well as enjoying the blooming Azalea flowers. If you plan on watching from home, enjoy a pimento cheese sandwich and mix yourself an Azalea.

The Boston Marathon

April 21

The world’s oldest annual marathon, started in 1897, brings in over 500,000 visitors throughout the Boston metropolitan area. Watch over 30,000 participants and countless traditional events like the Scream Tunnel, the Red Sox cheering section, and even Taiko drummers. Boston also features numerous historic sites, like the Freedom Trail, but also breweries, infamous pastry shops, and plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

Earth Day

April 22

Celebrated globally, Earth Day is a day of conservation and celebration of the planet we all live on. Numerous parks, schools, and environmental groups will be having events in your local area. If you can, use this day to discover a new park, get free plants or seeds for your own home, or learn about local plants and wildlife in your area.
