The mobile micro-home is about 8 feet high, 7 feet long and 14 and a half feet wide, yet still contains a folding bed, bathroom, kitchenette and living area. It's also eco-friendly, thanks to rooftop solar cells, a small wind turbine and a mechanism that repurposes rainwater for drinking. The Ecocapsule can be towed by a trailer or sent anywhere in a shipping container.

Ecocapsule, which is based in Slovakia, just announced that it secured financial backing to move forward with the micro-home. Its first run of 50 pods will be delivered to customers later this year. The company plans to start mass-producing them next year for a lower price.
