When photographer Steve Lance Lee traveled to Malaysia and East Java, Indonesia, he didn't just capture one natural wonder in photos, he captured several natural wonders that show what a truly amazing world we live in.

Lee's photos show the Milky Way galaxy arching over volcanoes, offering a breathtaking view of countless twinkling stars and beautiful, vibrant color across the night sky.

"It was really breath-taking," said Lee. "You get a sensation of happiness when you realize you’ve caught it, and you know you were in the right place at the right time."

"The Milky Way amazes me – it gives me a sense of mystical feeling, and brings out the phenomenal beauty of the night sky," he added. "There is only one word to describe it – and that is 'wow'."
