Winter’s Cold Moon: Last Supermoon Of 2025 Shines This Week

This week’s supermoon will end a trilogy of the brighter, bigger full moons this year, we’ve had one in October, November and now December. The first week of winter also means all you stargazers and skywatchers will probably need to bundle up to get outside and enjoy the “Cold Moon.” The Old Farmer’s Almanac says that name came from the Mohawk tribe. It’s also known as the “Long Night Moon” because of our longer winter nights. Watch this video to see the best time to take it all in.
