Imelda To Bring Large Waves To East Coast This Week

just now

Tropical Storm Imelda will continue to bring strong winds and heavy rain along with the risk for flooding and mudslides to the Northwest Bahamas and Cuba Monday and Tuesday. With Imelda forecast to stay well out to sea, the threat for heavy rain continues to decrease across the Southeast U.S. However, onshore winds could still produce minor coastal flooding. Rough surf and large dangerous waves will lead to a high risk for rip currents along the East Coast all week, so it’s best to stay out of the water. Imelda is still forecast to become a hurricane Tuesday as it takes a hard right turn away from the U.S. potential impacting Bermuda immediately after Humberto. Here’s the latest.
