The South will continue to face severe storms and flooding this week as an area of low pressure slowly meanders across the region. Severe weather is possible across much of western Texas and New Mexico on Sunday, with damaging winds and hail being the primary threats. We could also see a few scattered storms along the East Coast stretching from South Florida to Washington, D.C. On Monday, the threat expands to include much of Texas, including places like Fort Worth, Lubbock, Abilene and Austin. This threat will linger into Tuesday as well. Because these storms will be stuck over the same area for several days, there is a significant risk of flooding as well. Here’s where the biggest impact will be.
