Winds gusting as high as 40 mph are creating areas of blowing snow, especially near Lake Superior. For the Winter Storm Watch, blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 feet possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. WHERE...Alger, Luce, Northern Schoolcraft, and Southern Schoolcraft Counties. WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Saturday night through Tuesday morning. IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult this afternoon to potentially impossible Sunday into Monday. Blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday evening and Monday commutes. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
