WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for those in high profile vehicles. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.

WHAT...For the Gale Warning, west winds 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 45 knots and waves 5 to 8 feet. For the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels. WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to Vermilion OH, and the open waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to Vermilion OH. WHEN...Until 4 AM EDT Saturday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong west to southwest winds will cause water levels across the western basin to fall 1 to 2 feet below low water datum. The critical mark for safe navigation is currently 6 inches below low water datum. The lowest water levels are expected this evening. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions. Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due to below normal water levels.
