WINDS...Northerly winds 25 to 35 mph, gusting as high as 45 to 55 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10-30 percent. IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Fire weather concerns are further heightened by the fact that cured fuels remain abundant across our region, which is in an ongoing D2 to D4 (Severe to Exceptional) Drought.

WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots and seas 4 to 7 feet. For the Gale Warning, north winds 30 to 40 knots and seas 12 to 17 feet expected. WHERE...All Lower Texas Coastal Waters including the Laguna Madre. WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 PM CDT this evening. For the Gale Warning, until 7 PM CDT Monday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, such as garbage cans, outdoor furniture, and trampolines. If there is time, trim or remove dead tree limbs.
