...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM CDT FRIDAY... WHAT...Southerly gales 35 to 45 kt tonight shifting west northwest 35 to 45 kt on Friday expected. Waves 12 to 18 ft expected. A few storm force gusts are possible. WHERE...All Open Waters of Lake Michigan, and Nearshore Waters from Sheboygan to Winthrop Harbor IL. WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM CDT Friday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe conditions.

Then, during the day Friday, west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. WHERE...Portions of east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin. WHEN...From midnight Thursday Night to 6 PM CDT Friday. IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Higher uncertainty in the overnight winds, but if they occur may be even stronger than the winds during the day Friday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
