...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 1 PM CDT FRIDAY... WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches except between 6 and 12 inches for northern Iron County and the higher terrain of the North Shore. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. WHERE...In Minnesota, Koochiching, North Itasca, Carlton, St. Louis, and Northern Cook and Lake Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, and Iron Counties. For the Gale Warning, northeast winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and waves 7 to 10 ft expected. WHERE...Silver Bay Harbor to Two Harbors MN and Two Harbors to Duluth MN. WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 4 PM this afternoon to 10 PM CDT this evening. For the Gale Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM CDT Friday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
