...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CHST TUESDAY... WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet. WHERE...North facing reefs of Palau and Yap. WHEN...Until 5 PM ChST Tuesday. IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated north to northeast swell, reinforced by a shear line and the remnants of Tropical Depression Nuri north of Yap, remains capable of producing hazardous surf of 8 to 10 feet along north facing reefs. Surf will build further by Sunday, likely reaching at least 12 feet. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
