Description

...LIGHT SNOW THROUGH MID-AFTERNOON... Rain has changed over to a period of light snow and sleet along and east of I-95 over central Virginia, and much of the eastern Virginia piedmont north of US-460. Cameras are showing a light accumulation of snow on grassy surfaces in the Richmond Metro area and points northward, with temperatures in the lower to middle 30s. Snow will continue for the next 1-2 hours, with up to an inch of snow possible on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will mostly stay wet, a light slushy accumulation is possible on secondary and rural roadways, and bridges/overpasses.
