...The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids MI has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Michigan... Grand River near Comstock Park affecting Kent County. Muskegon River at Newaygo affecting Newaygo County. .Another round of heavy rain fell across much of West-Central Lower Michigan. Rain totals of 1.0 - 1.5 inches occurred in parts of the Grand and Maple River basins, while 1.5 - 2.0 fell across the Muskegon River basin. As this water moves through the river systems, minor flooding is expected over the coming days. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/grr.
