IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River Road north of CR 150 W in Greene County is flooded. Low agricultural fields flood. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 18.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 AM EDT Thursday was 18.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.7 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

White River at Petersburg. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Minor to moderate flooding continues on the White River and minor flooding continues on the lower Wabash at Mount Carmel. Additional rainfall of half an inch to 1.25 inches from this morning through Friday morning was included in the forecast. The initial crest on the White is at Petersburg, but an additional lower crest is expected to start working its way down the river Thursday and bring minor flooding back to Elliston by Thursday evening. The crest on the Wabash should reach Mount Carmel on Sunday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.
