...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT MONDAY... WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between 8 and 15 inches. Winds Heavy snow and blizzard conditions expected. Additional accumulations between 8 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will result in considerable blowing and drifting snow and blizzard conditions into Monday. The Monday morning commute will be severely impacted. WHERE...Marathon, Langlade, Lincoln, Menominee, Shawano, and Southern Oconto counties. WHEN...Until 4 PM CDT Monday. IMPACTS...Travel will become very difficult to impossible with whiteout conditions. Gusty winds to 45 mph combined with heavy snow load could bring down tree branches and cause power outages. The Monday morning commute will be severely impacted. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. People should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

....HISTORIC WINTER STORM TO BRING ONE TO TWO FEET OF SNOW AND BLIZZARD CONDITIONS TO NORTHERN WISCONSIN... A historic winter storm will bring a widespread one to two feet of snow, with locally higher amounts to around 30 inches and blizzard conditions to northern Wisconsin through Monday afternoon. Heavy snow will continue across northern Wisconsin this afternoon, with snowfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour and reduced visibilities around 1/4 mile or less. There will likely be a lull in the heavier snow across north-central Wisconsin later this afternoon into early this evening, before another round of heavier snow arrives by late evening and continues overnight. Additional snowfall accumulations of 7 to 16 inches of snow is expected by early Monday afternoon, with the highest totals in far northeast Wisconsin. For the rest of the afternoon through Monday morning, increasing northeast to north winds will create blizzard or near blizzard conditions. Motorist should expect difficult conditions with snow covered roads and visibilities around 1/4 mile or less. The Monday morning commute will be severely impacted by the snow and blowing snow. Conditions should gradually improve Monday afternoon. Several counties have enacted tow bans while communities have declared a snow emergency. A Blizzard Warning is in effect until 4 pm Monday.
