...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS... The areas affected include... Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Holland MI... At 1139 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 26 nm northwest of St. Joseph to near St. Joseph Light, moving northeast at 50 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine warning may eventually be required if storms intensify.
