...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM CDT MONDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR MOST OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS... The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM CDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. WINDS...North 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will be capable of spreading rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Obey all local burn restrictions and burn bans. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential.

Winds gradually decrease on Monday. WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas. WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT Monday. IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
