...AIRPORT WEATHER WARNING FOR EL PASO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT... VALID 03/10/2300Z - 03/11/1000Z Strong winds out of the west this evening and overnight due to the passing of a Pacific storm system will reach the 30-knot warning criteria for El Paso International Airport. Rain chances will come to an end this evening with skies clearing, however wind will remain strong through the overnight hours into early Wednesday morning. Overnight downslope effect along the east slopes of the Franklin Mountains will also contribute to sudden strong gusts overnight. Sustained west winds 15 to 20 knots with peak gusts up to 35 knots are expected through early Wednesday morning. No restrictions to visibility are anticipated. Wind will diminish below warning criteria prior to sunrise on Wednesday.
