IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING... ...HIGH WIND WARNING HAS EXPIRED... WHAT...Very cold wind chills from 20 to 30 below. WHERE...Portions of western and northern Iowa. WHEN...Until 10 AM CDT this morning. IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds and wind gusts have ended. The wind will continue to be gusty from the northwest with gusts up to around 45 MPH for a few more hours before decreasing further by midday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
