WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, west winds 15 to 20 knots and waves 2 to 5 feet. For the Gale Watch, southwest winds 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 40 knots and waves 7 to 10 feet possible. WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Geneva-on-the- Lake OH to Ripley NY. WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 4 PM EDT Thursday. For the Gale Watch, from Friday afternoon through late Friday night. IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions.
