Higher amounts in the elevations above 5000 feet. A dusting to possibly an inch in some lower elevation locations. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. WHERE...The North Carolina mountain counties along the Tennessee border above 3500 feet. WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 3 AM EDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...The snow will create snow covered roads and produce scattered power outages. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening commute.
