...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT TUESDAY... WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow and sleet accumulations between 6 and 12 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. WHERE...Central Chippewa, Eastern Mackinac, Western Chippewa, and Western Mackinac Counties. WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds are likely. Portion)/Whitefish Point to Point Iroquois MI and St. Marys River Point Iroquois to E. Potagannissing Bay. WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous highest waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions.
