Additional information: Temperatures will hover near the freezing mark and may result in some portions of the region receiving freezing rain while others transition to rainfall earlier or receive purely rain. Rain, heavy at times is expected. The saturated or frozen ground will have little ability to absorb this rainfall. What: Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas that receive thunderstorms. When: This morning and lasting through the day. Additional information: A series of low pressure systems will lead to significant rainfall across parts of southern Ontario. There is also a freezing rain warning in effect for the region for a possible period of freezing rain before changing over to rain.
