...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE MONDAY MORNING... WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. WHERE...Root River Canal at Raymond. WHEN...Until late Monday morning. IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Floodwaters are in the back yards of a few homes in the Village of Raymond. Water floods Koerber Park on 6 Mile Road. There is widespread flooding of lowland and agricultural land. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:00 PM CDT Saturday was 10.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.4 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.4 feet on 04/20/1993. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging locations. ...SHOWERS APPROACHING AND OVER THE WATERS... The areas affected include... Lake Michigan nearshore and open waters to mid lake from Sheboygan WI to Winthrop Harbor IL... At 657 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These showers were located along a line extending from 10 nm southwest of Oshkosh, to near Port Washington, to Winthrop Harbor, moving east at 35 knots. Locations impacted include... Sheboygan, Port Washington, North Point Lighthouse, Wind Point and Winthrop Harbor, as well as the adjacent open waters of Lake Michigan to mid lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots and locally higher waves with the showers. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these showers pass.
