...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT THIS EVENING... WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE...A portion of northwest Ohio, including the following counties, Hancock, Wood and Wyandot. WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT. IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 416 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Lye Creek has reached minor flood stage. At 4 PM EDT, the creek was at 6.02 feet. Additional rises across area streams are likely this evening. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Findlay, Fostoria, McComb, Arlington, Arcadia, Rawson, Vanlue, Van Buren, Bloomdale, Mount Blanchard, Benton Ridge, Jenera, Mount Cory, Bairdstown and Williamstown. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. WHERE...A portion of northwest Ohio, including the following counties, Ottawa, Sandusky and Wood. WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT. IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 635 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
