...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 PM EDT TUESDAY... WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations 4 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow overnight through Tuesday. WHERE...Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties. The greatest accumulations will be across higher terrain inland from Lake Erie. WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 8 PM EDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult with snow covered roads and poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Gusty winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A rapid drop in temperatures this evening may produce very icy conditions on untreated roads, sidewalks, and parking lots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving. Submit snow reports through our website or social media.
