...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM CDT /4 AM MDT/ TO 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ SUNDAY... WHAT...North winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected. Strongest winds along US 83. WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west central Kansas. WHEN...From 5 AM CDT /4 AM MDT/ to 9 PM CDT /8 PM MDT/ Sunday. IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. Isolated power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles and on east-west oriented highways. Blowing dust will reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
