SOUTHWESTERN BALTIMORE...CENTRAL PRINCE GEORGES...SOUTH CENTRAL CARROLL...NORTHWESTERN ANNE ARUNDEL...NORTH CENTRAL CHARLES...EASTERN FAIRFAX...SOUTHEASTERN PRINCE WILLIAM...AND ARLINGTON COUNTIES...THE CITY OF FALLS CHURCH...THE CITY OF FAIRFAX AND THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA... At 905 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Randallstown to Lake Ridge, moving east at 75 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Dulles Airport Measured Wind Gust. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles. Locations impacted include... Arlington, Alexandria, Columbia, Dale City, Rockville, Bethesda, Gaithersburg, Annandale, Clinton, Olney, Pikesville, Springfield, College Park, Fort Washington, Greenbelt, Fairfax, Langley Park, Beltsville, Fort Hunt, and Vienna. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
