...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. WHERE...Portions of Maine, including the following areas, Central Somerset, Northern Franklin, Northern Oxford, Southern Franklin, Southern Oxford and Southern Somerset and northern New Hampshire, including the following areas, Northern Carroll, Northern Coos, Northern Grafton, Southern Carroll, Southern Coos and Southern Grafton. WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon. IMPACTS...Small stream and ice induced river flooding is still possible in the mountains region this morning. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Runoff from earlier rains and snowmelt will continue to cause small stream rises through the morning. Residual river ice will be lifted, which could pose a risk for ice jam flooding. The threat level falls this afternoon as colder air rushes in and runoff ends. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... You should monitor the latest forecast and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
